With his latest 4 track EP, Dubmood has taken a big leap to widen the genre by bringing guitars, acoustic drums and singing to his chipmusic. A Mix of dubmoods recent electro-house influences and his earlier hip hop and chip tune-pop tracks, retro-gaming soundtracks and crackintro music. Gem Tos, the android from the retro-phuture is a permanent guest, featuring on three of the 4 tracks but other guests are two of dubmoods fellow musicians from Oai Star and Facteur, with whom dubmood has produced and toured as an electro-house duo in France during 2008 and 2009 and who is now raging havoc with french electrorock-act Nasser. Badlands is the first ep in a new Dubmood triology.
Tracklist:
1. Change
2. Mi Anderoid
3. Io Stesso
4. Mainstream Technology

(Bought album) Could we get the lyrics for Mi Anderoid? I’d really appreciate it!

Killin it with this EP. Love the willingness to experiment/expand. *purchasing*
I used to love just watching the Razor1911 installers and listening to the chunes they’d pump. Somehow dubmood keeps getting better and better.

I can’t tell you how much I listen to this.. Blown away by your work.
Dub, stay true to your roots, dont go mainstream.
please. Stay 8 bit.
Been clearing nearly 200,000k’s of diesel wax out of my “new” car’s intake system to 4.30am … the CD of this is all that really kept me going.
Especially tr5 … some remix of Mi Anderoid (Misfitchris?). Epic. But the whole thing is definitely one of those rare “leave on repeat” discs. A home duplicate of it will have a probably near-permanent place in the disc wallet in the new ride, therefore!
(First time, in nearly 10 years, I’ve had a car without a cassette deck … it’s going to be quite a wrench, those old mixtapes are practically family. Need to replace them with something worthy.)
(and “secret” track 7, which is right now on it’s third playthru in my ‘phones. Another M.A. remix, a spacey, very chippy one that drops almost into drum & bass… it’s just such a versatile tune)
No. Wait. We need a way to edit these things.
Tr5 was The Courier, with the glorious crescendo then breakdown in the middle… or was it simply Tr6? (I always get them confused as they run into each other quite seamlessly) – it’s Tr7 that’s MA/MisfitChris…
